Whynde Kuehn interviews business and technology strategist Josué Batista on how business architecture can be used to leverage blockchain. Blockchain technology uses an architectural concept known as distributed ledger technology (DLT), which can be used for data storage, financial transactions, real estate, asset management, and many other creative uses.
Mr. Batista focuses on the intersection of digital health, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things (IoT). He enjoys tackling complex business and health tech challenges, shaping them into clear, compelling, and shareable strategic value propositions, and then creating a viable roadmap for execution and value realization. Josué is a leader in the Business Capability Management Group at HM Health Solutions, a cloud-based health insurance payor platform owned by Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Western Pennsylvania. Since 2011, Josué has been an active member of the Business Architecture Guild and a contributor to the Business Architecture Book of Knowledge (BIZBOK®). Josué has also presented at several Business Architecture Innovation Summit events.
